My cousin is getting married this summer, and for her bridal shower, we were asked to bring along a pair of underwear and some marital advice. I don’t claim to be a marriage expert, but my handsome husband and I will celebrate 14 years of wedded bliss in just a couple of weeks.
Ok. It hasn’t all been blissful. As a matter of fact, a successful union takes a whole lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Marriage has challenged me in ways 20-year-old bridal me couldn’t even dream of. Worth it. It also doesn’t hurt that I have a partner in life who’s always supporting me, especially on those days when homeschooling plus general motherhood has physically and emotionally whipped my butt. He does dishes, and laundry, and can figure out a meal for the kids from whatever happens to be in the house. I am incredibly blessed. Anyway, I thought I’d share my marital “wisdom” with you guys as well. If you have a wonderful nugget of advice to share, I’d love to hear it in the comments!
